Mun-Kyung

Since Mun-Kyung is quiet far from my place we left in a hurryWe could get Mun-Kyung earlier due to uncongested condition

First stop was Mun-Kyung shooting gallery. It is very uncommon Clay Shooting place in Korea. It runs for Clay Shoonting mainly and beginner also can enjoy shooting

The business hours are 08:00 AM to 18:00 PM

There are 5 people can shot at once.
For men, usually instructor teaches in a word For women, instructor teaches by acting and its accuracy rates are higher than menMethod of Shooting is simple.
Loading 2 bullets at once so its shooting time takes a bit long.
It doesn't need to be accurate but just expect target's trace

And how to fire the target is you just need say Ah~ and target will be gone off automatically.
So it is very easy to keep their shooting space.

Total bullet is 25pcs and Fare is 19,000won. It seems quiet pricy but if you experience, you will pay without hesitation.

Like above picture when clay is broken in pieces, everybody feels fantastic and meets new experiences. Moreover air rifle, pistol shot and so on other activities were available.

This name of the mountain is Eoryong mountain.
It still very green so I could not feel autumn is coming yet.
After shooting gallery, I made a left and head for Buljeong station for riding Mun-Gyeong rail bike.
It takes about 5 minutes by car.

You can get a discount if you have a ticket from this shooting gallery.
I recommend riding this bike after shooting !!

 This rail bike is very popular so you would better a book before you come.

I was driving along the Young river.
I could see fisherman here and there. Looks very peaceful.

I arrived at Mun-gyeong sungbo art village.
This sungbo art village is the place where you can learn ancestor's wisdom and life and have experience from them.  You can stay at youth-hostel.
There is enough space to run and play freely and also you can have a broad variety of experience.

 There was school sports at that day.

There is a place for the learning experience of Korea traditional arts and crafts with clay, hanji (traditional Korean paperhandmadefrommulberrytrees),natural dye and tea ceremony too.
Some program need minimum people to attend a class. You need to check about this previously.

 I wanted to try to make a handkerchief when I looked at this dyed fabric on the hanger.
So... I made it!

There are many ways to make a pattern. The easiest way is using a hand.
I crumpled the fabric and it was fastened by elastic band.

I used blue color.
At first it looks green color but as time goes by it was getting blue color.
The blue color will be getting darker and darker when you do this work many times.

I found out one interesting way to dye.
They use the onion !!!
It can make 2 color depending on type of fabric.
The color was so incredible.

I dye a fabric with fruit of Maximowiczia typica.
The color comes out light purple.
You can have another color when you do this work more time.

This is a plant for dye.
They grow this flower in person.
Those flowers are native to china and india.

This is for Hanji craft.
You can make little mirror, hand fan and paper table.
Hanji is a traditional Korean paper handmade from mulberry trees.

 You can bring your own pottery after making it.

Apple is a principal products of Mungyeon city.
It makes profit 20% of total in a year.
There are 26,400tons apple produced yearly.

 I felt hunger. I decide to have grilled BBQ.

Wow. look at these dishes.
These was basic dishes.
I really enjoyed soy bean paste soup and other vegetable too.
I love normal raw rice wine (Maggolli) but this pink color is fruit of Maximowiczia typica color.
Haha~the taste is very special and great!!!
And this marinated pork was so delicious.

I got in festival area.　
I saw lots of regional specialities booth.
There are a lot of apple booth. I ate one of them.
Wow ~~ apple was so fresh and sweet.

There is Mungyeong Apple Festival at Mungyeong Saejae provincial park.
Inside provincial park, there are an old street museum,
KBS photographing field, Drama setting spot which you can enjoy more~

  There's an exhibition hall for old artifacts in Yetgil museum.

 There are many different of experience booth. A shot booth was the most popular one for children.

 This is the time when apples taste most delicious.

This is using apple and decorate in the public relations officer.
Wow, look at this apple decoration~ It was pretty amazing~

I was not sure what is the differences but there are different kinds of apple in the big hall.
For me all looks delicious.

There was a snack bar and main stage deeply inside.

The weather is just perfect today.
This Mungyeong apple festival is opened October 8th ~ October 30th for23 days.

When we got the place, festival had just begun.
Many celebrities of local area came and read the congratulatory.

After the congratulations honor guard's performance were followed .

Weather was hot and sunny but they performed well.

We enjoyed the festival for few hours and rounded off the Mun-Kyung Trip with strolling the path.

It would be nice plan to travel Mun-Kyung that can experience many activities in autumn.
