Yeongdeok

Taebaek's powerful a range of mountains spread to East Sea.

In every serpentine, the soul defended the country is live.

In scenery of sunrise brightly, fragrant of cultural heritage is filled with.’

Do you know where it is?

It's called Yeongdeok, which is most famous for taking a rest and sight-seeing trip in east of Korea for 21c.

Yeongdeok is distinguished as the nation's leading producer of 'snow crab' that is best tast in Korea.

So, Today, I'll go to here, Yeongdeok.

Actually, I'm one of the Korean people like 'sone crab'.

For that, Today's travel to Yeongdeok made me a lot of thought of it and my heart flutter.

This bridge that looks like huge boats is the most typical course from Yeongdeok to Ganggu Port.
After crossing the bridge, There were a lot of restaurant in a tail, which was called the heaven of 'sonw crab' and you can buy or eat in there.

After agonizing about where to go for a while, I head to pungmul snow crab market under bridge.

There were street full of snow crab looks very appetizing.

After walking a while, I looked a restaurant that looks good of couple owner and I took a sit there.

In a fish tank, snow crab -it means huge crab in Korea- boasted their huge shape more than human face.

How about snow crab?

It looks fresh and huge only through that picture, doesn't it?

The owner showed for make a comparison between snow crab red crab in fish tank and said domestics are filled with crabmeat and good size.

It was more bigger than I expect in reality.

Then I saw like wristlet with letters on left claws.

I asked to owners what it is, they said the marks is domestics and confirmation of Yeongdeok snow crab.

It is confirmation bracelet of snow crab.

The owner said, If it was without confirmation bracelet, It may be not domestic or totally growing yet.

So before eating, you should check it.

After choosing one to eat by my self, I could see flyer about snow crab festival in that wall for waiting it done.

The owner said, the festival is most famous opened on March annually in Yeongdeok.

The purpose of it is arousing image of Yeongdeok the original village of snow crab and inviting traveler through festival of experience - fishing the snow crab, taking a fishing boats for snow crab, aution, snow crab Sujebi-Korean food-, tasting noodle etc.

By doing your self, These is good to know about the excellence of Korean tasty and culture.

And they mended our snow crab and said, when they are not busy, they can trim snow crab for guest to eat easier.

Can you see that filled with crabmeat and looks good to eat?

I didn't care how time flies eating the daege enjoyful, which is one of the most tasty in Korea, after a long time.

After eating snow crab, that owner suggested seasoned raw crab and bibimbap with crab shell that have to teat snow crab.

And there was snow crab stew which was famous for zesty and spicy flavor.

Just getting out after eating my fill benign owners favor, for digestion, I approached to Sunrising park beside the shoreline well known for beautiful road in Korea.

I could see fishing hamlet felt friendly and traditional of Korea.

Not knowing how far I walking, I was captured my attention to gorgeous landscape and great Sunrising park appeared far in the distance.

The symbol of snow crab is Yeongdeok as well, There was impressive observatory with fantastic sculpture.

That sea I stare at from here made me feel cool and refresh.

The park is well organized with wild flowers, hiking paths, observation decks, resting places, and reeds.

It is a wonderful place where you can relax.

It is located on one of the most beautiful coastal roads in Korea.

It is a beautiful park with "music" and "sculptures."

In Sunrising park, I could take a rest with fresh air, cool wind, nice landscape for a long time.

While I felt pure nature in Sunrising park endlessly, The skies were aglow with the sunset .

I thought it was too short time to go back and feeling something wanting caught with me.

Then I went to Yeongdeok New & Renewable Energy Center that was Korean very first commercial private a wind power plant complex.

It is well known for exotic attraction linked sunrising park to traveler visiting in Yeongdeok and Dalmaji night tracking, renewable energy experiment.

Uiseong

What a beautiful today. I'm going to visit Uiseong city.

I looked for about Uiseong before I leave.

Uiseong County (Uiseong-gun) is a county in North Gyeongsang Province, South Korea.

Located near the center of the province, it is bounded by Andong on the north, Cheongsong on the east, Gunwi County on the south, and Sangju and Yecheon on the west.

As in most parts of Korea, most of the land is vacant and forested; only about 19% of the county's area is farmland.

The county is largely rural, with an economy dominated by agriculture; the only urbanized area is the county seat, Uijeong-eup.

This picture is Uiseong Tapri Five-Story Stone Pagoda.

The Uiseong Tap-ri Five-Story Pagoda is a five-story stone pagoda from the Unified Silla Kingdom located in Tapri village.

The five-story stone body is built on a low platform, and the tower is unique in displaying both a brick tower-style made of brick-shaped stones, and a wooden pagoda.

The platform is made of several stones, and different types of stones are used for the pillars in the middle and one in the corner to make a wooden pagoda-shaped body.

The first story is higher than the second one, and from there, the height is drastically reduced, and a shrine containing a Buddhist statue is installed in the first story.

Then I moved to see Dinosaur footprint fossils in Uiseong Jeo-ri.

The term dinosaur refers to the 5m to 25m long reptiles that roamed the earth from the Jurassic period through the Cretaceous period.

The dinosaur footprint fossils in Uiseong Jeo-ri were found when a mountainside was being excavated to expand the local roads in Uiseong District.

The fossil is assumed to be from the Cretaceous period of the Mesozoic and was made approximately 115 million years ago.

The next place I went to was Sansuyu village. As the village name, this place is famous for Sansuyu fruit.

People say Sansuyu trees planted at Uiseong district originated from this village.

However, as cheap Sansuyu fruits are imported from China these days, Sansuyu producers in the village are worrying about their poor market situation.

Viewed from the surrounding mountains, the village looks like a yellow basket hidden in the bottom of the mountain valleys.

Covered with the thick yellow blossoms of Sansuyu, houses in the villages are almost invisible from the nearby mountains.

Sansuyu blossoms blooming over the earth and stone walls of four remaining old style houses look very friendly.

Sansuyu blossoms begin to bloom from mid March at this village and last until early to mid April.

Next I head for Gounsa Temple .

It is the Head Temple for the 16th District of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism which was established by Buddhist priest Uisang in the first year of King Sinmun of the Silla Kingdom (681).

The temple controls around 60 subordinate temples.

The Buddhist priest Samyeong stored rice for emergencies and treated the wounded during the Japanese (Hideyoshi's) invasion of Korea in 1592, so the temple is also well known for its active role to defend the motherland.

As the source of Buddhism and learning, the temple gave birth to several high priests such as Buddhist priests Hamhung and Suweol, and it is still frequented by many Buddhist monks.

It preserves National Treasure No. 246 The Statue of Sitting Buddha and 27 temple houses including Regional Tangible Cultural Asset No. 151 Gaunru Pavilion, and it also has a 500-meter long pine forest for casual hikers called “Solgul” at the entrance, and Dungun Mountain in the back of the temple has a path up a mountain for mountain climbers.

I have heard Uiseong Topsan spa.

This spa’s water is containing germanium .

This water has many great effect.

This water is very good for a skin.

Also good for a disease such as diabetes, blood pressure, hepatitis..

I don’t even have any disease, but I feel like to heal every parts of my body.

With the reputation of being one of the best hot springs in Korea, there are 100% natural hot spring spa, eastern yellow soil humid sauna, and variety of outdoor hot tubs in the facility.

The various Asian, Western, and fast-food restaurants, outdoor driving range, lodges, and ballrooms make this facility almost perfect.

This trip was just like a rest for me .

Maybe because I had a nice spa the end of the day.

Why don’t you have a day trip in Gyeongbuk Uiseong .

It is nice and make you feel fresh!!
