Andong International Mask Dance Festival

I looked up at the blue and clear sky it makes me feels real autumn.

This season is the best time to take a trip among the 4 different seasons.

Today, I am going to visit real fun festival.

It is Andong international mask dance festival , 2010.

A while ago I started to get interested in mask dance that has a long history after visited Andong Hahoe village.

I expected so much that there will be very enjoyable performance and music too.

I arrived at Andong international mask dance festival.

I was very surprised that there are a lot of people as soon as I get to the entrance.

There is cheerful music sound and having a party the middle of stage just in time.

So many people are mixed.

I could see many foreigners as well.

They danced with Korean and it looks very great.

I feel like the world is the ONE!!

There are many different of masks on the way to mask dance main stage.
This was very joyful.

With so much to see in the festival, people look very exciting and fun.

This is the one of picture for perform an exorcism.
I saw this when I visited here lately.

Am I really impressive of this performance?
I was very familiar when I saw the mask and performance of dance..

I headed to main stage to see mask dance.

The place is very beautiful and neat.
It looks perfectly ready to greet and show for many tourist and foreigner tourist as well.

The staff was giving brochure to the audience.
The people who received it they looked much filled with anticipation.
There was also brochure of English version.

It was not difficult to fine English sign everywhere.
I could notice that the people who arrange this festival consider how to greet foreigner audience.

The performance begun.

This performance is not only performing their self but also being with audience.

I laughed really a lot through the performance.

The second stage was Malaysia traditional maskdance performance.

No wonder why Andong mask dance festival is so popular...
I could get to see Korean tradition culture also international culture as well.

Malaisia tradition dance team received a round of applause as they stepped out onto the stage.

I was deeply impressed by theirs graciousness. The dancer's facile movements were beautiful and graceful to watch.

It was so fantastic!! The audience gave the dancer a big hand.

The next stage was colorful belly dance.

I fastened my eyes upon theirs each movement. It was very great!

Dance with all together makes people the one, even though the culture and country is all different.

The following performance was Thailand tradition maskdance team.

The audience and I were enraptured by the dancer’s exotic costumes and unique performance. And traditional musical instrument playing was terrific!

Isn’t that great?
I think this is not just normal festival that we can face to easily.
I feel very lucky to be here and enjoy this kind of party today.

Impression from the performance still lingers in my mind.

Hopefully, there will be more festival like this Andong mask dance that we can get closer and share happiness.

Gumi!

I am going to visit Gumi in Gyeongbuk!

I could smell of autumn’s coming when I wake up.

2010 was so hot and humid especially.

So I am very excited that autumn is just around a corner.

The place I will visit where is very famous for beautiful natural environment.

The first, I got to temple as called “Dorisa”. People say this place is good to walk.

The street was shrouded in fog. The cool breeze brushed my cheek as it blew by. It makes me very calm.

People wrote their wish on the tile. I could see the Buddhism sprits.

The first impression about Dorisa was so impressive. It has a graceful shape.

I clime up Dorisa and admire the scenery. It was so terrific!

I walk into Dorisa a little and I found out very cute young Buddha boy statue.

The face’s smile of statue was so naïve and cute. Just looking this face makes me smile.

This is national treasure No. 470 Dorisa stone tower in Gumi.

There is something different compare to other stone tower.

I couldn’t believe how quickly the time has gone by when I looked around Dorisa.

I look at my watch. It was already noon.I was mesmerized by here’s view.

Next, I moved the Imha village.

I knew that there are many old houses and I could see it all at once.

I saw an old house having Korean beauty traditional as soon as enter the entrance of village.

Actually always I’ve seen Apt and New high building in city. After looking that scene, I realized that the most beauty is Old houses not new one.

It’s different with other Korean folk. It’s real place to inhabit since 1987 when moving in Gumi same as initial because dam construction An dong area.

I can see real traditional life because there was real Imha citizen’s home.

I got warmed heart because there were a lot of warming and human scents.

It makes old houses shiny but also scenery of nature more and more.

Don’t you think it’s nice to take a picture of beautiful Korean old houses?

It’s good to take photo walking Imha village I couldn’t turn my steps.

And I couldn’t go by a warm stone wall in that village. It was so beauty stone warm made by stone and mud blended and it’s a custom peculiar to Korea.

My heart was warmed after looking around old houses and blue sky.

Imha village was gathered old houses as beautiful as ever and fortune in Korea. It’s my precious tour courses to me giving priceless memories, nice image.

Day by day in Gyeongsangbuk-do tours were meaningful present to me.

Why don’t you visit Gumi-si(city) Gyeongsangbuk-do Korea the cradle of moral culture having immemorial history.
